The hooded man

Finally, the rotting corpse of Kevin Costner's Robin Hood looks set to be consigned to the grave, as the BBC is getting set to show it's new flagship Robin Hood series. I'm a major Robin Hood fan, and can't wait for this. For my money, the definitive Robin Hood will always be the Micheal Praed TV version - Robin of Sherwood from the 1980s. Fantastically dark and dripping with celtic mystical symbolism, it was the first to treat it seriously.

This new version is getting great reviews from those who've seen the previews, and personally I can't wait.
