Deadlines, shmeadlines

As Douglas Adams said, "I love deadlines. I particularly like the swooshing noise they make as they swoop past my head."

I’m feeling quite cheated at the moment, because I’m so busy I haven’t had much time to write with. It’s a good complaint in a way, as I am essentially self employed, so it’s good to be in demand and have the cheques roll in (bigger cheques would be better) but even so, I’d like to not get lost in commerce and miss the wood for the trees!

Anyway, it looks like the current insanity will be slowing down a but at the end of next week, so that should allow me a few days to get my head down and write some fiction. I’m hoping to be able to set aside a few days each week, but sometimes deadlines get in the way, and it’s hard to create a routine.
