Never let me down again
Woah! Rarely have I seen anything like this. I caught the last hour of Depeche Mode at the Point Depot in Dublin on Monday night. I walked in with about an hour to go and the power of what was happening was astonishing. You haven't lived until you walk into a room and 8000 people are chanting "Reach out and touch faith." I'm not a huge fan, but this was an astonishing concert. I felt a bit disconnected, a bit like arriving into the pub hours after everyone else only to fund that they are all really drunk - it's very hard to catch up, if indeed you feel like it.

The crowd were whipped into a scary frenzy and were dancing their asses of even at the very back. To me it seemed a little flat, but you can't argue with the stamping feet. As I get older, I find myself more and more strongly affected by concerts like this - there is a lot of energy in a room like this and it effects me for days later. I get a similar release sometimes from playing thrashing loud guitar, but hey, that's my thing.

I'm jealous. I'd love to see them but they don't seem to come to the state very often.
They came to Hawaii when I used to live there about 10 years ago. Sold out a small show.
